Preparation for Meta Business Verification​

To increase your chances of a successful verification with Meta, ensure the following:

  • Your business website is active, has SSL (HTTPS), and clearly displays the company name, address, and phone number that match your Facebook Business Manager details.
  • Your business email address matches your domain (if you're using domain verification).
  • Your phone number is reachable and IVR is temporarily disabled during verification if you're using it for phone verification.
  • Your company’s legal/trade name on documents should match what's listed on your website and Facebook page (or be clearly associated).

Required Documents for Business Verification​

Meta requires documents that confirm your business’s legal name, address, and phone number. These requirements may vary by country.

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Business PAN
  • Business GST Certificate
  • Recent Utility Bill (with address)
  • Business Bank Statement
  • Trade License

📝 How to Apply for Meta Business Verification​

  1. Log in to your Facebook Business Manager.
  2. Navigate to Business Settings > Security Center.
  3. Click Start Verification.

Step-by-Step​

  • Enter your Business Name, Address, Phone Number, and Website URL. Make sure these match your documents and MCA listing.
  • Facebook will try to match your business to an existing record. Select the correct business if it appears.
  • Upload your legal business documents (e.g., Certificate of Incorporation).
  • Specify the language of your uploaded document to help Meta's reviewers.
  • Upload a document for business address or phone number verification.
  • Choose your verification method:
    • Phone Call
    • Email Verification (preferably from your domain)
    • Domain Verification

Email verification is faster if you're using an address that matches your website domain (e.g., name@yourcompany.com).

  • Enter the verification code received via email or phone.
  • Click Submit to complete the application.

What Happens After Submission?​

  • Meta typically takes 3 business days to 4 weeks to review your application.
  • You’ll receive a confirmation email once approved.
  • You can also monitor the verification status in the Security Center.
  • If additional documents are required, Facebook will notify you. Respond to the same support thread with updated documents.

Troubleshooting​

  • "Verification" Button Unavailable?
    Make sure your Business Info is complete on Facebook and that you've initiated a WhatsApp Business API setup via Mark360.ai.

Display Name & Green Tick​

  • From 2024, a business Display Name can be approved and shown on WhatsApp even without the green tick badge, as long as your Meta Business Verification is complete.
  • The green tick (Verified Badge) is a separate process and grants additional trust benefits.
